2 c. lukewarm water
1 t. yeast
whole wheat flour to make a porridge consistency. Let stand covered.
Make meatballs: 1 lb. lean ground beef
1 egg
1 t. salt
1 t. garlic powder
1 t. pabrika
2 T. cornstarch
Fry as small meatballs
Boil and drain: 1/4 lb. chinese egg noodles. Add 1 T. olive oil and 1 t. chili.
Sauté:
1 onion, diced
4 cloves garlic, grated
1½ carrots, grated
1 yellow pepper, diced
2 leaves chinese cabbage, diced
3 T. orange juice
Mix meatballs and noodles in with vegetables to make filling.
Finish bread dough. Add: 2 T. olive oil, 3t. salt, 2 t. pabrika, 2 t. curry, 1 t. turmeric and whole wheat flour.
Knead dough and roll in circles. Spoon in filling. Fold and close catballs. Brush with water or oil and bake about 25 min. at 350 F or 200 C
Catball says: Take one bite and you won't be able to stop. They are lots of work, but well worth it. ******
