Fat Cat's Mystery Cake

Mix:
½ c. ground almonds
1½ c. whole wheat flour
½ c. sugar
1 t. baking soda
1/4 c. unsweetened dark cocoa powder
One Mystery Ingredient that Fat Cat will reveal November first!!!
Add:
½ c. oil
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
Mix well and bake in greased pan for 30 min at 350 F or 200 C

    Hi Reddy! I can see why you made that guess, since we forgot to write an ingredient, which is not carob, but unsweetened cocoa. Thanks for your guess, which made us aware of the mistake. It is, however, not the mystery ingredient which will be revealed on the first of November.

    If you aren't revealing the mystery ingredient until November 1, I think I have two more chances to guess the ingredient.

    Is it applesauce?
